• About Wimbledon Speakers Club


    Formed in 1998 Wimbledon has established itself as a leading force both locally and nationally amongst Speakers Clubs.

    Our aim is to help members develop both confidence and skills in a variety of forms of verbal communication and public speaking.

    A typical Programme covers; Improvised Speaking; Prepared Speeches & Evaluation of Speeches. Occasionally there may be other word games, debates or lighter-hearted entertainment included.

    Our meetings are held on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday each month at the William Morris Rooms (see venue) - 7.30pm start.

    We welcome visitors who just want to drop in and see how they can best benefit.

    Next WSC meeting

    The next meeting of the club is at 7:30pm on Wednesday 13 April at our usual venue - the William Morris Meeting Rooms, Broadway, Wimbledon - left from the station then 5 mins. brisk walk (maybe a touch longer if you're not haring it over there) straight to this building, then up the steps and through the red door.
