• About Wimbledon Speakers Club


    Formed in 1998 Wimbledon has established itself as a leading force both locally and nationally amongst Speakers Clubs.

    Our aim is to help members develop both confidence and skills in a variety of forms of verbal communication and public speaking.

    A typical Programme covers; Improvised Speaking; Prepared Speeches & Evaluation of Speeches. Occasionally there may be other word games, debates or lighter-hearted entertainment included.

    Our meetings are held on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday each month at the William Morris Rooms (see venue) - 7.30pm start.

    We welcome visitors who just want to drop in and see how they can best benefit.

    pdf format (for print), HTML version (for screen viewing), OPML (for compiling your own agenda). OPML is a standard format used by Outliner programs.

    Outliners are useful for planning agenda, speeches, articles etc. - WP programs such as MS Word and Appleworks have some limited oulining functions - this one is written using RadioUserland. Further background at outliners.com.
