Lee - a speaker newbie - 'Wimbledon speakers offer a wonderfully constructive safe environment for learning this black art'

    By admin | November 16, 2005

If you're anything like me, just the thought of public speaking sends shivers down your spine, makes the pulse soar, and your palms clammy. But I?'m glad to say the Wimbledon speakers offer a wonderfully constructive safe environment for learning this black art.

My first visit was met with many happy, smiley faces, and I was immediately made to feel welcome. Hey, they even invited me to give an impromptu 2-minute speech, and gave me a free coffee for my troubles.

I'?ve been coming along for a couple of months now, and have just completed my level one speech. I still remember the anxieties beforehand, and the huge sigh of relief afterwards. But when you get over your initial fear, it does get easier.

Well what are you waiting for? Don't listen to me, why not come along and experience it for yourself?
