• About Wimbledon Speakers Club


    Formed in 1998 Wimbledon has established itself as a leading force both locally and nationally amongst Speakers Clubs.

    Our aim is to help members develop both confidence and skills in a variety of forms of verbal communication and public speaking.

    A typical Programme covers; Improvised Speaking; Prepared Speeches & Evaluation of Speeches. Occasionally there may be other word games, debates or lighter-hearted entertainment included.

    Our meetings are held on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday each month at the William Morris Rooms (see venue) - 7.30pm start.

    We welcome visitors who just want to drop in and see how they can best benefit.

    No embarassment at the richness of our talents!

    28022007At the 20 February meeting of Wimbledo Speakers Club Barbara offered served up some prime topics material on the paralell subject of dogs and Valentine[base ']s Day, and in the second half Peter reviewed Simply Irresistible by Raj Pasaud and Frank attempted another materpeice.

    The meeting also acknowledged the achievements of David Langworthy - double trophy winner for the ASC London region contest.
