• About Wimbledon Speakers Club


    Formed in 1998 Wimbledon has established itself as a leading force both locally and nationally amongst Speakers Clubs.

    Our aim is to help members develop both confidence and skills in a variety of forms of verbal communication and public speaking.

    A typical Programme covers; Improvised Speaking; Prepared Speeches & Evaluation of Speeches. Occasionally there may be other word games, debates or lighter-hearted entertainment included.

    Our meetings are held on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday each month at the William Morris Rooms (see venue) - 7.30pm start.

    We welcome visitors who just want to drop in and see how they can best benefit.

    New Speakers year starts tomorrow!

    Remember, remember the 12th of September and a new term and a new beginning at Wimbledon Speakers Club. With 3 prepared speeches and a new twist to “topics” it is sure to be an exciting start to the new speaking season. If you’ve never been before, then come along and give us a try. Whether we like it or not, public speaking is an essential key to success and achievement. The atmosphere is supportive and encouraging and just by turning up you will find yourself mixing with like minded people who are addicted to improving their self confidence and personal growth.
