• About Wimbledon Speakers Club


    Formed in 1998 Wimbledon has established itself as a leading force both locally and nationally amongst Speakers Clubs.

    Our aim is to help members develop both confidence and skills in a variety of forms of verbal communication and public speaking.

    A typical Programme covers; Improvised Speaking; Prepared Speeches & Evaluation of Speeches. Occasionally there may be other word games, debates or lighter-hearted entertainment included.

    Our meetings are held on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday each month at the William Morris Rooms (see venue) - 7.30pm start.

    We welcome visitors who just want to drop in and see how they can best benefit.

    Area Speech Contest

    On Saturday 23rd February at 2pm.
    Everybody is invited to the annual celebration of the very best of London area public speaking.
    There will be 3 competitions, prepared speeches, impromptu speaking, and speech evaluation featuring some of the best speakers in the whole of London.
